Jonathan Lever

Fetzer Institute

Jonathan is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at the Fetzer Institute. He works closely with the Fetzer Institute board and its president to drive program strategy and expansion; lead the management of the Institute; and represent the organization externally.

He has spent much of his career serving in the nonprofit sector, most recently as executive vice president of YMCA of the USA, where he led strategy and worked with an extensive team to make its programs in the areas of healthy living, youth development, character development, and membership available to thousands of communities with YMCAs. For more than a decade before that, Jonathan led the YMCA’s entry into chronic disease prevention programming and health care.

Jonathan holds a juris doctor from the Northeastern University School of Law, a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a bachelor’s degree in religion from the College of William and Mary.
